1. Russia is working on its ChatGPT rival: GigaChat 🤖

Russia has entered the ChatGPT race by introducing GigaChat, its alternative to OpenAI’s ChatGPT. Sberbank, which is Russia’s dominant bank, is behind GigaChat and in recent years have invested heavily in AI technology.

According to the bank, GigaChat will be much better than its competitors as it will be able to communicate effectively and intelligently in Russian language.

2. Snapchat’s 1 star reviews are skyrocketing 📈

In last 1 week, Snapchat's average US app store review was 1.67 (75% -> 1⭐). Comparing this with Q1 2023, it had an average review of 3.05 (35% -> 1 ⭐).

So what's the reason behind this?

• The culprit seems to be the placement of My AI chatbot in the personal inbox

• My AI is an experimental, friendly AI chatbot which can answer questions, offer advice and give suggestions

• Users are complaining it to be intrusive with no way of removing it from the inbox

• Some users are also raising concerns about their personal details being shared with AI
